I was very lucky to go to Inari, Lapland (Finalnd) last June and I could never be bored with the midnightsun scenes !!!

@dj.tigersprout: I was there for 10 days plus one day in Helsinki on the way up and another one on the way back.
I went there for a seminar for my work (thanks to Europe) and it was as if we had 2 days in one ... the working day and after the night day ... we never felt sleepy... our brains didn't send the sleep message so we had to force ourselves to go to bed because we had to get up quite early in the morning ... the sauna sessions did wonders on us and it was weird to ear the birds sings in bright day light at 2 o'clock in the morning. Now back at home (in southern France) we felt really tired then ... our bodies were completely disoriented ! Now I want to go back there in winter ! Wa also learnt a lot of things about the local Sâmi people and their reindeer culture ...

oh I was way up north about 500 kms north of the arctic circle ! the sun never set and always stayed above the horizon ... that picture was taken at around eleven or midnight ... the sun went a little more down but not much , it never disappeared behing the hills range and at about 2 it started going up again

Oh, thank you for that picture! I love these midnight photos always even I have them hundreds, but they are always different and I remember every photo`s atmosphere usually at lake, when I have taken photo :)

You want feel our winter! Good, the sun never rises, it may be 30 degrees below zero, one meter or over snow . . . I guarantee, you will never forget it !
If you looked at my winter river photos, they are taken, when the temperature was about - 35 degrees Celsius, it`s difficult to keep fingers warm and the camera working :)

Welcome again to Finland, but you have to find out, how much your camera bear frost !
