This was taken during a carnival in Grand Bay (Dominica W-I) in 1978... this costume is called a "sensay" but it has been forbidden ever since because there have been some "accidents" : some murders took place by setting some of them into fire !! It's too bad because these costumes were very cultural since they dated from slavery time ...
